This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you use the SUFA web application, website, services, and related features (collectively, the "Services").
By using SUFA, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and use of information as described herein.

Google Account Information
If you choose to connect your Google account, SUFA may access information that you explicitly authorize through Google's OAuth authorization process.
Depending on the permissions granted, SUFA may access:

• Google Calendar events

• Google Classroom classes

• Google Classroom assignments

• Google account email address

• Google profile name

• Google profile image

We access only the information necessary to provide the functionality requested by the user.
We do not use Google Workspace API data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
User Content
SUFA may collect and store content you create or submit, including:

• Tasks

• Homework entries

• Notes

• Study schedules

• Planner information

• Calendar entries

• AI conversations

• Productivity settings

• Feedback submissions

Usage Information
We may automatically collect information regarding use of the Services, including:

4. Google API Services and Google User Data

SUFA allows users to optionally connect their Google account through Google's OAuth authorization process. SUFA accesses Google user data only after the user grants the requested permissions.

Depending on the permissions authorized by the user, SUFA may access:

• Google Calendar events and related calendar information;

• Google Classroom classes and course information;

• Google Classroom coursework and assignments;

• Google Classroom assignment descriptions and teacher-provided instructions; and

• Google Classroom submission information associated with the signed-in student.

SUFA uses this information to provide user-facing student planning features. For example, Calendar information may be used to display schedules, identify available study time, create or manage calendar events requested by the user, and generate study plans. Classroom information may be used to display courses and assignments, identify upcoming or overdue coursework, prioritize assignments, generate study plans, and provide relevant assignment information and teacher-provided instructions to SUFA's AI-powered assistant.

When necessary to provide an AI-powered feature requested by the user, relevant Google Workspace data may be transmitted to SUFA's AI service provider for the purpose of generating the requested response or functionality. Google Workspace data is not sold or used for advertising.

SUFA does not use, transfer, or permit the use of Google Workspace user data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

SUFA does not sell Google user data or transfer Google user data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.

SUFA's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

 

5. Artificial Intelligence Features

SUFA provides AI-powered features designed to assist users with planning, studying, assignments, schedules, and other supported functionality.

When a user requests an AI-powered feature, SUFA may transmit the user's prompt and information relevant to that request to an AI service provider. Relevant information may include SUFA planner information and, when the user has connected Google services, relevant Google Calendar or Google Classroom information needed to provide the requested feature.

For example, SUFA may provide an AI service with an assignment's title, course, due date, or teacher-provided assignment instructions so that the AI assistant can help the user understand or work with that assignment.

Google Workspace user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing SUFA functionality and is not used by SUFA to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete. Users should independently verify important information before relying on AI-generated responses.

6. Data Storage and Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Provide Services

• Maintain user accounts

• Comply with legal obligations

• Resolve disputes

• Enforce agreements

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable legal requirements.
When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.

 

7. Google Account Disconnection and Data Deletion
Users may disconnect their Google account from SUFA through the Google integration controls available within SUFA. Disconnecting Google prevents SUFA from making new requests for Google Calendar and Google Classroom information through that connection.

Users may request deletion of personal information associated with their SUFA account by contacting support@sufaplanner.com.

Users may also revoke SUFA's access to their Google account through their Google Account security and third-party connection settings.

Where required, SUFA will delete or securely dispose of Google user data associated with the user's account, subject to limited retention required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or other legitimate requirements permitted by applicable law and Google's policies.

8. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information.
We may disclose information:
Service Providers
To trusted third-party providers that assist in operating SUFA.
Examples may include:

• Cloud hosting providers

• Database providers

• Authentication providers

• AI providers

Legal Requirements

Information may be processed and stored in locations outside a user's country of residence.
By using SUFA, users acknowledge that information may be transferred to jurisdictions with different privacy laws than those of their home country.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SUFA disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SUFA and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Services.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
Updated versions will be posted with a revised effective date.
Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
